Check whether your artwork is ready to print at 300 DPI
Choose a product size, inspect effective resolution, and prepare a correctly sized PNG in your browser. The file stays on your device and is never uploaded.
DPI & Print File Studio
Preview the artwork, compare printable dimensions, and prepare a correctly sized local PNG.
Check resolution at the final print size before uploading
Pixel dimensions alone do not tell you whether artwork is ready for a product. Effective DPI depends on the physical size at which the file will be printed. This checker reads the image dimensions locally and compares them with the width and height you select.
- 1
Choose the actual artwork file
Use the exported PNG, JPG, or WebP you plan to upload. The browser reads its pixel width and height locally; the file is not sent to yoou.io.
- 2
Match the final print area
Select a product preset or enter the intended width and height in inches. Use the provider's current template when the printable area differs by product, size, or placement.
- 3
Prepare the file, then complete visual checks
When the source has enough pixels, download a locally resized PNG canvas without cropping or upscaling. Then review transparency, color profile, bleed, safe areas, small text, edge detail, and the provider's accepted format separately.
Questions about DPI Checker
Use these boundaries to interpret the dashboard without turning a planning result into a stronger claim.
Is my artwork uploaded to yoou.io?
No. The image dimensions are inspected in your browser. The selected file is not uploaded by this checker, and the page does not store the artwork.
Is 300 DPI always required?
Not universally. Many print workflows use 300 DPI as a quality target, but the provider's current template and product guidance remain the source of truth. Large-format products may use different practical requirements.
Why can an image have enough pixels but still print poorly?
Resolution does not detect compression artifacts, blurred source material, thin lines, transparency errors, weak contrast, or incorrect color preparation. Inspect the artwork visually and order a sample when practical.
What does maximum size at 300 DPI mean?
It divides the pixel dimensions by 300 to estimate the largest physical width and height that preserve a 300-DPI density. Cropping or changing the aspect ratio can reduce the usable size.
Does the prepared PNG guarantee a print-ready file?
No. It creates the requested pixel canvas locally and preserves the artwork's aspect ratio without upscaling. It does not validate blur, color profile, bleed, transparency, safe areas, or a provider's current product template.
